Administrators help manage the site, and have access to site settings. They can also use all editing tools, manage pages, promote or ban members and invite others on private sites.
I joined this wiki because I work for Cardiff University as a 'User Enablement Manager'. This means that the focus of my job is to ensure that our users/customers get the full value out of their investment in us - Information Services - and are fully enabled to carry out their University business. To do this, we believe very strongly that we need to work in partnership with our customer base, consequently we have a number of IT service consultants who liaise closely with key staff in academic Schools, finding out what they want and doing our best to help deliver it. We recognise that there are other HE institutions who are also doing liaison/relationship management work with their schools and divisions and we feel that wikis such as this are an excellent means of sharing good practise across the whole community.
